The culinary scene in Mazunte is a treasure trove! I fell in love with the delicious dishes at La Ola, just a stone's throw away. The pool at Cabanas Sicaru is a delightful retreat after a day of eating, and the beautifully designed room offered a perfect oasis.
While I didn't mind the lack of hot water, it might not suit everyone. My upper-storey cabaña had its quirks with some critters from above visiting, so I'd recommend snagging a lower one for a bit more privacy.

The honest truth about this
Welcoming staff created a charming atmosphere, and the location was superb for reaching local attractions and beaches. The rooms were modern and immaculately maintained.
Not much in terms of food options. the high price point left me expecting more services and amenities, which were lacking.

I had an incredibly relaxing stay that was enhanced by the beautiful property with a great swimming pool, and the convenient walk to local highlights like the Sea Turtle Center just 500 meters away and the stunning Punta Cometa Lookout Point almost 2 km away made my weekend exploration a breeze.

Unreliable Wi-Fi plagued my stay, frequently disconnecting and frustratingly slow when it worked. Hot water was a significant issue, leaving me to deal with chilly showers during my mornings. Also, if you're on the upper floors, enjoy the straw ceilings. they trap heat, making it sweltering without effective air conditioning. Lastly, charging extra for beach towels felt like an unnecessary expense that left a bad taste.

the lovely decor and nice pool can't make up for the lack of hot water and the noisy dogs who ruined my restful nights. absoluetly, I expected extra attention for my stay, but apparently that’s just for the other guests. The Standard Queen Room with Two Queen Beds was really nice. Super modern and clean. The beds were comfy. The A/C worked great, which was a must in the heat. Only downside was the noise from the nearby area, which sometimes could be distracting at night. But overall, it was a solid place to crash after our busy days at the beach!
